Our cakes and treats are all custom made and made to order.  The price will depend on size, flavors, and design, as well as if you would like delivery.

**Please note that if you alter the design plan or add other features AFTER being provided a quote, (such as fondant decorations, delivery, etc.), that will change the total cost.

**Since our supplies and ingredient costs are frequently increasing, we lock in quotes for 48 hours ONLY, without deposit or full payment.  Once your deposit is made, your price is secure without changes to design or services.

To insure that our clients are well cared for and made the time that they deserve, we are ONLY able to take orders via text and email.  Our busy lives can become a bit chaotic, making it very difficult to take custom orders over the phone and provide you with the attention that you need.

Busy Moms Can Bake requires 2-4 week notice on all custom cakes, and a minimum of 1-2 month (30-60 day) notice for wedding orders.

When contacting us to place an order, we will ask you for the following information:

-Date of event

-Number of guests you will like the cake to feed

-Design or theme

-Pickup or delivery

-Flavors (found on our website)

**if you would like to provide us with a budget amount, that is also welcomed, but not necessary.

After we have communicated all details of your order, an invoice will be emailed to you with deposit information, along with a copy of our policy and terms and conditions.

It is always best to have as much information handy as possible, to insure the communication process goes as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Yes, Busy Moms Can Bake requires a non-refundable 30% deposit to secure order and date.   Due to the increase of last minute cancellations and no-shows, payment in full must be made BEFORE pickup or delivery.

Wedding orders require the non-refundable 30% deposit, and payment in full two weeks before wedding event.  We will not reserve the wedding date without deposit.

**Busy Moms Can Bake fully understands that there are circumstances that require our clients to cancel or post-pone their events, however due to our out of pocket expenses for orders, we are not able to refund the 30% deposit.  If cancellations are made by Busy Moms Can Bake, the 30% deposit will be refunded.

Busy Moms Can Bake accepts cash, check (made to Melissa Clayton), Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, and Apple Pay.  

When you place your order and receive your confirmation invoice, you have the option to pay via Credit Card through the invoice ONLY, or any of the other options listed above.

Busy Moms Can Bake offers free delivery to Noblesville ONLY.  Delivery fees for other areas range from $15-$40, depending on location.

Make sure when placing your order, you let us know that you would like delivery as an option and we will include delivery in your quote.  

Although we recommend delivery on multi-tier cakes, pick up is definitely an option.  ALL CAKES MUST BE PLACED ON A FLAT SURFACE.  If you are not able to place your cake on the floor, make sure to let us know and we will provide you with a safer option for placement on the seat.

All cakes and treats MUST remain cool, so AC is a must!  Our cakes are made from scratch with ingredients that WILL melt and collapse.

**We are not responsible for damages made after delivery.

**Currently Busy Moms Can Bake does NOT offer weekday or holiday deliveries.  We are only available on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

Busy Moms Can Bake offers pickup options for the following times:

Thursdays: 5pm-8pm

Fridays: 5-8pm

Saturdays:  10am-7pm

Sundays: 10am-3pm

*You are given a 1 hour time window for pickup.  If you would need additional time, please let us know immediately.  Late arrivals are subject to a late fee.

We understand that your schedule may not fit with our pickup times.  If exceptions need to be made, please let us know BEFORE placing your order, and we may be able to accommodate an earlier day.  

Please note that we DO NOT make deliveries on weekdays.

Currently Busy Moms Can Bake does not offer sheet cakes.  Our unique custom cake designs consist of multi-layer tiers (both round and square), so that we are able to explore our creativity and make your event cake and treats extra special!

"Whipped" icing is a type of icing typically used in grocery stores, is a form of whipped cream, and used to ice sheet cakes.  

Because grocery store icing is jammed packed with artificial flavors and preservatives to make the cakes have a much longer shelf life, Busy Moms Can Bake offers a home-made whipped cream as a filling ONLY.  Whipped cream, although tastes amazing, MUST be refrigerated and will not hold up to fondant and/or decorations.  Therefor we do not use whipped cream to ice cakes.

A great alternative is to ask for Swiss Meringue Buttercream for your cakes.  Swiss Meringue Buttercream is a delicious, lighter, fluffier and less sweet type of icing that holds up great to decorations and fondant.  Keep in mind, that any type of icing can and will melt in warm temperatures and humidity.

Fondant is a smooth, pliable form of icing that makes amazing decorations and gives cakes a sooth and neat look.  Since our fondant is made from marshmallows, it tastes great and takes your cake design to a whole new level!  

Fondant also serves as a form of structure for cakes.  Unlike buttercream, fondant holds up better to heat and humidity.  It also creates a "seal" for your cake, which will allow the cake to keep its shape during warm weather and trap in the moisture from the cakes, avoiding the cake to dry out when refrigerated.

Outdoor events can be incredible and so beautiful!  Cakes, on the other hand, do not seem to agree.  Because our icing is made with butter, both heat and humidity are a cake's worst enemy! Thankfully we have tips and tricks to help make sure you do not experience and absolute melting disaster.

Busy Moms Can Bake recommends that your cake be left indoors in the cooler temperatures until shortly before the event starts. 

We will always suggest using fondant to cover your cakes in the hot and/or humid months.  Fondant helps to seal the icing, hold up to temperature changes and make sure the decorations do not fall off.

Another great tip is to have Busy Moms Can Bake deliver the cake as close to the event start as possible.  This will insure that the cake will be in cooler temperatures as long as possible, and in the event of a damage, we will do our very best to repair any issues.

Please note that there are fillings that would need to stay cool, such as whipped cream filling, custard, Bavarian cream, etc.

Unfortunately, since we are a home based business and a busy family, we are not able to accept walk-ins.   Order scheduling and placement MUST be made via text and/or email.

Yes!  We offer tasting to-go boxes that you can take home and share with as many guests as you would like.  You can select the date and time of your choosing.  The tasting costs $15 for 3 flavors or $25 for 5 flavors,  paid at booking online ONLY.

Tastings include 3 or 5 cake flavors and 3 or 5 filling flavors.  Additional flavors are available for $5 each.

At this time, we are not able to ship cupcakes and cakes.  We do, however, ship cake in a jar, as well as cookies, cake pops and cakesicles!  We are currently working on cupcake decorating kits for optional shipping!
